It's a great time to buy a house!
There are lots of homes for sale. In some areas, prices are down from just six months ago. If you're seeking a bargain, homes in parts of The Shenandoah Valley are the lowest they've been in years. This all happened pretty quickly, and prices may return to their upward climb in the next year or two. So this is a great time to buy a home or residential income property.
If you have good credit, interest rates are near historic lows. It is harder than it was to qualify for a loan, so make sure to talk to a lender before you begin to look at homes. It is unusual to find lower prices and low interest rates at the same time, so take advantage of this opportunity while you can.
